Coaching youth sports is both exciting and rewarding. While teaching young athletes about the sport they love, youth sports coaches also have the opportunity to instill important values and traits in their players—values and traits that will last a lifetime and extend far beyond the field or court.
What are some of your goals for 2016? As a player or coach going into off-season I’d suggest that you create meaningful goals that are worth fighting for because life (and your opponents!) will constantly test your resolve and level of commitment.
If your team goals, or individual ambitions don’t get your heart racing, blood pumping, butterflies circling, or voice crackling when you talk about them, you may need to go back to drawing board and create some new ones.
What characteristics and skills would a 5-star defensive back possess that would allow them to be a superstar at the college level? Speed and quickness are of course a given for players in the defensive secondary, but what is it that sets a 5-Star defensive back apart from the rest?
Here are the FIVE traits that make a 5-star stud DB recruit:

Football contains an abundance of terminology specific to the sport. Understanding that terminology will enhance your knowledge of the game. To start, here is a list of offensive terminology.
The side to which a play is run
The side away from a play
The side away from Y
When both backs go weak
When both backs go strong
When the backs move in opposite directions
Establishes flow to one side with the ball carrier cutting to the other side (misdirection play)
When backers are lined up behind a lineman
When a backer is covering a center,
